Hundreds in protest march against A&E closures
Hundreds of residents have marched through Halifax in protest against the possible closure of the accident and emergency department at Calderdale Royal Hospital.
Joined by members of the Labour Party and Unison, the demonstration was aimed at sending a clear message to health chiefs - hands off our A&E.
The ongoing protests are in response to a report by health chiefs suggesting Halifax hospital could lose its accident and emergency ward.

The preferred option would see Huddersfield Royal Infirmary provide around-the-clock A&E while Calderdale could lose its emergency unit.
