Piano festival will hit all the right notes next year

The Hebden Bridge Piano Festival will attract scores of music lovers when it returns for a third year in 2015.

Top-notch concerts, masterclasses with renowned performers as well as inexpensive concerts for children and families, recitals by local piano students and free events featuring non-classical piano music means there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Headlining the festival and giving three evening recitals are top-class artists who have performed all over the world - Ashley Wass, Clare Hammond and Gordon Fergus-Thompson are some of of the most established pianists in the UK.

Other stars of the festival include acclaimed pianist and composer Lola Perrin, who will be performing her own compositions, some of which will be accompanied by silent abstract films.

Jazz pianist Zoe Rahman will also perform a range of compositions and arrangements inspired by her Bengali heritage,

The festival, which will run from April 17-19, 2015, will take place in the town hall and there will be free concerts in the cafe and subsidised recitals for children and families.
