Hymn sing for Overgate hospice

The Overgate Hospice Choir held its 26th Annual Hymn Sing in Brighouse Central Methodist Church on Saturday 10 March. Claire Stafford was the guest soprano soloist, David Houlder played the organ and the conductor was Dr Simon Lindley. During the evening a cheque for £10,000 was presented by the Chairman, Carol Armitage to Karen Crowther, Director of Finance of Overgate Hospice. The cheque brought the total raised from the Choirs four concerts in 2017 to £18,500. Overgate Hospice Choir

Soprano soloist Claire Strafford and organist Alan Horsey will join Overgate Hospice Choir for its Annual Hymn Sing at Central Methodist Church, Brighouse, on Saturday, March 23, 4pm. The hymns have been chosen this year to commemmorate the signing of the Treaty of Versailles in June 1919 and include ‘I Vow to Thee My Country’ and ‘O Valiant Hearts’. All proceeds will support the work of the hospice. Tickets are £10.
