Celebrating the sounds of Simon and Garfunkel

Following its success in the West End in February, ‘The Simona nd Garfunkel Story’ is now on tour and will visit the Victoria Theatre, Halifax, on Sunday, September 27.

Fifty years after one of music’s most successful folk rock duos recorded the number one single ‘The Sound of Silence’, the achievement of Simon and Garfunkel will be celebrated with a stunning live stage show.

Award-winning leading man Dean Elliott, who played Buddy Holly in ‘Buddy -The Musical’, will be accompanied by a full cast of actors and singers as he tells the story of the duo’s humble beginnings as ‘Tom and Jerry’ to their massive recording success and Central Park concert in 1981.

Using a projection screen, the show features photos from the 1960s and film footage while a full band will perform all the greatest hits including ‘Mrs Robinson’, ‘Cecilia’, ‘Homeward Bound’, ‘Bridge over Troubled Water’, ‘Sound of Silence’ and many more.

The show, which has been praised for its authenticity, starts at 7.30pm and ticket information is available on 01422 351158.
