Steve’s image wins him national award

Hebden Bridge photographer Steve Morgan has won the “Work in the Community“ award in the British Life Photography Awards a prestigious national photography competition.

The image is of Foundrymen pouring hot metal at the Halifax based Iron Founders Hargreaves.

He also won a highly commended in the Portrait section with an image from the same shoot last year at Hargreaves as well as an image of Hebden Bridge Postman ‘Andrew‘ pictured on his rounds on the tops near Widdop.

All are featured in the The British Life Photography Awards Portfolio 1, published by The Ilex press, includes the winners and commended entries from 2014, with hundreds of eye-opening images giving a thought provoking, beautiful and refreshing view of life in the UK today.
