As many as 9,000 people are expected at Saturday’s Brighouse Charity Gala- one of the biggestevents on the town’s burgeoning calendar.
As well as the usual attractions there will live music throughout the afternoon from a big stage.
This year sees a change to tradition with the appointment by Brighouse Ladies Circle of April Quinn as gala ambassador rather than the gala queen of years past.
Salma Kalsoom, who chairs the organising committee says: “Hopefully it will be bigger and better than before.
“I’m sure it will be a fun day with something for all the family.”
The gala raises thousands of pounds every year for both local and national charities.
The event begins at noon with the traditional parade which starts in Garden Road and wends its way to Welhome Park.
