Shining Starr brings classic soul to the Ritz

Angelo Starr, brother of the late soul singer Edwin, has been keeping the faith since 1982. An original member of his brother's backing band The Team, he has recently been busy in the studio working on his new solo single.

‘Just For You’ is an emotional blend of love, lust and romance, intertwined with classic R n’ B and soul, released on Music Family Records.

Since Edwin’s death in 2003, Angelo has also fronted the band. He said: “The fans were always very kind with their praise for Edwin and it was their suggestion that The Team should continue Edwin’s legacy.”

The band’s reputation for consistently outstanding live performances has seen them working with Ben E King, The Four Tops and The Temptations.

Angelo Starr and The Team are touring the UK during February and will stop off at the Ritz Ballroom, Brighouse, on Friday 26. The show starts at 7.45pm. For tickets tel: 01484 720058.
