Bowlathon for NHS to take place in Elland next month
It is being organised by Mark Holden, who said: “Due to COVID-19 and seeing my partner’s nerves nearly shot, as well as family members who work for the NHS, I decided to run an NHS bowlathon.
“I wanted 100 bowlers to donate £10 and come and play for two hours over a 24 hour period..and within a week I had filled it.

“We also have an auction going, to watch a no limits race day with merchandise and breakfast thrown in, that stands at £300, and a raffle at £1 a ticket, so I’m hoping to raise around £2,000.
“I will have six bowlers playing at a safe distance, all within the safety measures, hopefully starting at 8am until 8pm on Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5.”
If anyone wants a raffle ticket or to help on the day, they can call Mark on 07825 295278.
