Mytholmroyd’s Karen Darke is in excellent form as she builds towards next year’s Rio Olympics.
She rode for British Cycling at the first World Cup Paraplegic Series event in her category for 2015 in Italy last weekend.
The 43-year-old won the ladies’ time trial and was second the following day in the ladies’ road race.
Her task was made easier by the absence of the Americans and a leading Pole, who are likely to be in opposition in the next World Cup event in Switzerland next month.
Darke won a silver at the 2012 London Paralympics.
