Calder ‘76 Reserves and Midgley United Reserves were both beaten on their travels in Division One of the Halifax AFL on Saturday.

Calder dropped a place to fifth from bottom when they lost 2-1 away to in-form Sowerby Bridge. Marc Walters got their goal.

Midgley had just the bare 11 players for a trip to Savile Park to play Volunteer Arms and went down 5-1.

James Balmforth scored for Midgley, who are eighth after being overtaken by their hosts and three more teams.
