FC Halifax Town: Shaymen cast their vote for National League play-offs
The National League was originally going to send voting forms to clubs before last weekend, with a deadline to vote on Monday (yesterday), but that had to be put back due to objections from National League North and South clubs over the lack of play-offs in their divisions.
So an amended resolution has now been put forward which will include regional play-offs, and increase the number of teams being relegated from the National League as a result.

A majority of 51% is required but any decision still has to be ratified by the FA Council.
Clubs have until Wednesday at 5pm to vote. There are 32 votes in total, each National League club gets one vote, and then the North and South share four each, so a majority of 17 is needed.
But the resolution says that “such play-offs will in any event be subject to the Government’s Covid-19 guidance on phased return to elite sport”.
