Brighouse make cup exit
Brighouse Town were knocked out of the Emirates FA Cup yesterday when beaten 2-0 at home by Newton Aycliffe.
The Hove Edge men were undone by goals just before and just after half time from Matty Moffat and Dennis Knight.
There was no shortage of effort but a frustrating afternoon for Town was completed when they had a couple of late goals ruled out for offside.
Brighouse, who had won five and drawn one of their previous six fixtures, will look to get back on track away to Radcliffe Borough in Evo Stik Northern Premier League Division One next Saturday.
