Walsden picked up a useful Central Lancashire League win at Heywood in a reduced overs contest.
Jake Hooson (39) and skipper James Rawlinson (30) gave them a solid start after they had been sent in and Matthew Dawson’s 51 contributed to a total of 169 for eight off 32 overs.

Heywood made a solid enough start but Sri Lankan Umesh Karunaratne bowled tightly at one end and Josh Gale (four for 32) did damage at the other as Heywood were limited to 128 for seven.
