Brods beaten at Beverley
Both clubs fielded much changed sides due to unavailabilities but the game was played in good spirit and was fast and open.
Brods started well but after 15 minutes of pressure from the visitors Beverley opened the scoring with a well taken converted try.

Hide AdThe Woodhead men responded well and an inch-perfect cross kick by Gareth Newman found young winger Jasper Ayrton in the clear on the right wing for him to catch and score in the corner.
Beverley extended their lead with a good try from their speedy fullback on 30 minutes but Brods replied with a signature try from prop Benny Pritchett, who charged to the line for a 12-10 interval score line.
The second half opened with the Beverley half backs combining well to extend their lead to 19-10.
Brods stayed in the hunt with a penalty from Zack Thompson and although Danny Vento rounded off his good performance with a well taken try from a line out drive, Beverley scored further tries to extend their winning margin.

Hide AdBrods Beavers lost 47-10 away to a Keighley ‘development’ team which appeared to be strengthened by several first team squad players.
The senior players will be holding their annual dinner and presentation of awards this Friday with more than 90 in attendance at the Woodhead clubhouse.
The juniors boys and girls will be holding their annual presentation day at the club on Sunday, starting with the under 16s at 11.0.
The Colts will be holding their own dinner and presentation evening at Woodhead on Saturday, May 12.
