Watch fundraisers in Halifax get Pretty Muddy for Cancer Research UK
The women’s only event had participants tackle a 5k route. If that wasn’t enough, runners braved scramble nets, mud pools, a giant pink slide and an A-frame.

Hide AdSimon Round, Cancer Research UK’s Halifax event manager, said: “The atmosphere was really moving - full of emotion, courage, tears and laughter - as people came together to remember loved ones lost to cancer or celebrate the lives of those dear to them who have survived.
“You could have probably heard their screams and laughter as far away as the Piece Hall!”
For the first year ever, children could take on the charity challenge with Pretty Muddy Kids.

Hide AdMr Round said: “Life-saving research is being funded right now thanks to the Halifax women and kids who joined the fight at Race for Life.
It is hoped all those who took part will raise a combined £82,000 towards Cancer.
Cancer Research UK is urging anyone who pledged to sponsor runners to return their money as soon as possible.
Mr Round said: “Money raised - whether it’s £10 or £100 - will help Cancer Research UK”
