Warning to motorists due to snow and ice on the roads
Hazardous driving conditions are being reporterd on the A647 Halifax Road in Queensbury between Crooked Lane junction and Chapel Street junction, because of snow and ice.
The Met Office issued a yellow warning until 10am today and said clear skies between areas of showers will allow ice to form at times on untreated surfaces.

Hide AdToday’s weather will start rather cloudy with a few wintry showers. However, it will soon brighten up with some good sunny spells developing through the morning, and with any showers becoming confined to coastal areas.
Outbreaks of rain will spread from the west in the evening and persist through a good part of the night. However, much of the region should become dry by morning.
