Update: Huge moorland fire covered one mile
Todmorden watch commander Carl Fielden said his crew would be going up to the scene again but the cause is likely to be classed as accidental.
“It was very dry on the moor,” he said.
“With no witnesses it will be very had to find a cause when the fire was so big.”

Six pumps attended including crews from Mytholmroyd and Greater Manchester.
An all-terrain vehicle, leaf blowers and beaters, were used to fight the blaze.
“We were lucky really with the way the wind was blowing and left the scene around 10 pm,” said commander Fielden.
