Brighouse firefighters help free man trapped in car following crash in Mirfield
Brighouse firefighters helped free a man trapped in a car after a crash in Mirfield last night (Tuesday).
he crash, involving a Vauxhall Astra and an Audi happened on Leeds Road, near the Three Nuns pub, in Cooper Bridge at 7.20pm.
The male driver of the Astra, which was travelling towards Mirfield, had to be cut free from his car. He was taken to hospital by ambulance with suspected spinal injuries. The extrication took around 20 minutes.
The male driver of the Audi, which was travelling towards Huddersfield, suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Firefighters from Brighouse and Mirfield attended.
