Nicola May is set to stand as the Conservative Party’s candidate in Luddenden Foot ward in May’s Calderdale Council elections.
Nicola says she has advocated for pensioners and hard-working families in Calderdale, and has tirelessly campaigned with Calder Valley MP Craig Whittaker and local councillors, on providing better education and quality schools to younger generations in the Mytholmroyd and Luddenden Foot areas.
Nicola says she is also a strong voice against domestic violence. Nicola sais she had worked alongside the Conservative-ran Calderdale Council on a new strategy to tackle domestic violence, which was recently approved by the cabinet in February.
“Luddenden Foot is on the right track but there is so much more that can be done,” said Ms May.
“‘I am ready to represent Luddendenfoot and fight for a better future for its residents.
“The views of the Upper Valley are often over looked.
“I will work alongside local people to ensure the voices of these people are heard by the local council.’
