For the 2015 Heritage Open Day, the 1920s auditorium - stalls and balcony - and foyer of Hebden Bridge Picture House will be open for all to explore and enjoy on Saturday, September 12.
The kiosk in the foyer will be serving refreshments including sweets, ice creams and popcorn and the cinema will be screening free family-friendly short films on a loop which visitors can drop in to view at leisure.
There will also be some film posters for sale.
Staff and volunteers will be hosting exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of the cinema (to be booked in advance) which will include a brief history of the Picture House and the opportunity to visit the projection box, back-stage area and behind the cinema screen.
Visitors wishing to join the free tours on the day will only be accommodated if numbers allow.
The event will end at 1pm prompt to allow for re-opening at 1.15pm for the afternoon family matinee film (normal entry prices for the film apply).
The Picture House will be open on Saturday from 10am to 1pm for the open morning and there will be tours at 10.30am, 11.20am and 12.10pm.
