Ferocious downpours and strong winds battered Calderdale yesterday and as river levels rose, flood warnings and alerts were issued across Yorkshire.
In Walsden, the flood siren was sounded at around 2pm to warn residents that flooding was expected in the area.
And as the rain continued to fall, Brighouse company Faith PR captured a picture of a man who decided to clean his 4x4 vehicle in the ford.
Bruce Cutts, of the upper Calder Valley’s photographic project After Alice, sent us an atmospheric shot of the gushing River Calder over Callis’ flood defence boulders.
And Charles Round captured the rising river in Hebden Bridge, next to the town hall.
