SPACE exploration was top of the curriculum as pupils from Colden Junior and Infant School visited the ‘Star Centre’ in Keighley.
Year 5/6 pupils became space cadets for the day, taking command of mission control. They were able to simulate the safe landing of the Mars Rover, as well as linking up to the International Space Station. They also investigated robotics and experienced the centre’s newly refurbished planetarium.
“The highlight of the day for the pupils, however, was undoubtedly their simulated space walk,” said teacher Mrs Jacqui Brown.”
