Entries for Todmorden Boundary Walk are now coming in steadily and organisers Todmorden Rotary Club are on course to beat last year’s total There is still time to enter.

So far 85 people are entering the 22-mile main walk, or the 12-mile Pike Hike, on Sunday, May 4, of which 31 are walkers from Todmorden based Weir Minerals.

This year’s walks, which star and finish at Bellholme Sports Ground, can be followed on twitter at @TodBoundaryWalk and other innovations are being made.

To improve navigation for walkers this year we are doubling the number of route flags on the trickier Rough Hill section of the Boundary Walk.

Entry forms are still available at Todmorden Tourist Information Centre, Margaret’s China Shop ion Burnley Road, and also from the Post Office.

The entry fee for the Boundary Walk is £10 per person, £7 for those under 16 years of age.

Fees for the “Pike Hike” are £8 and £6 respectively.

You can enter on the day but a surcharge of £2 per person will be applied for all entries which are received on the day of the walk itself.
