It is held at Centre Vale Park, Burnley Road, Todmorden, from early morning to early evening.

From the “big beasts” - a horse ring and packed cattle and sheep sections - to cavies, rabbits, ferrets and a fun dog show, there is lots to see, says Kieron Hardman, taking the reins as organisers Todmorden Agricultural Society president for the first time.

Additionally, throughout the day special attractions in the events ring include the Elaine Hill Sheepdog Display Team, racing canines in the form of Phill Gibbons’s terriers The Little Nippers and cycle stunt team 3SIXTY.

Pre-day tickets are £6 for adults and £3 for children (under fours get in for free), with outlets in Todmorden, Walsden, Cornholme, Hebden Bridge, Littleborough and Bacup listed on the society website, www.todshow.org

On the day prices are £8 for adults and £4 for children.

Mr Hardman said: “Every year our dedicated team of volunteers work tirelessly to ensure the entertainment, livestock shows and trade stands focus on showcasing what our area has to offer.

“The whole family can enjoy their day out on our beautiful show site in Centre Vale Park.”
