A Labradoodle dog was rescued by Fire Service personnel after falling into a river off Rochdale Road, Walsden.

Water rescue operatives retrieved the dog, which was left in care of its owner, at 5.36pm on Monday, January 22.

The incident happened opposite Walsden Railway Station.

A fire appliance from Todmorden attended.
