A great day out was had by all and the sun even made an appearence at Old Town School’s Summer Fair.
There was a very traditional style to the fair with cake competitions, various tombolas, pony rides, guess the weight of the sheep, name the goat, and archery amongst many other games and stalls.
Some of the after school clubs also helped out by holding stalls of homegrown plants, healthy baking, recipe boxes and even a pampering nail bar with local photographer Geoff Matthews donating four framed photographs from last years Tour de France which were all sold in a silent auction.
The sun came out just in time for the Egg Throwing Championships which drew the crowds and brought a fitting finale to a successful Summer event which so far has raised in excess of £1800.
The day was well supported by parents, children and teachers from the school as well as from the local community.
Friends of Old Town School PTA would like to say a huge thank you to local businesses and farmers that helped them stage the fair and to everyone that gave their support and donations.
