Shadow transport secretary joins Calder Valley train campaign

The Shadow Transport Secretary joined Labour’s parliamentary candidate for Calder Valley, Josh Fenton-Glynn and a group of campaigners to give his backing to the campaign for better rail services.

Michael Dugher MP spoke to passengers at Brighouse railway station to hear first-hand their views about the current service and state of the trains.

Signatures were also collected for the Mr Fenton-Glynn’s campaign ticket to the future.

Under the motto ‘Better train services could be the Calder Valley’s ticket to the future’, the campaign is calling for better facilities at Brighouse station – including a ticket machine and an end to the pacer trains.
