The shops provide vital income to fund the care provided at the hospice.

Director of Income Generation, Laura Golding said: “Whilst we understand the importance of stopping the spread of the virus to save lives, this third lockdown is another huge blow to our finances. We are expecting to lose over £120,000 in the next few weeks whilst our shops are closed.”

Director of Clinical Services, Tracey Wilcocks said, ‘We are still here, caring for our community, and supporting our NHS colleagues in a number of ways. The pandemic has brought the health and social care system together, allowing us to collaborate and ensure the very best care for local people. But we can only continue to do this if we are able to secure our income going forward.”

Laura added: “This year is our 40th anniversary and it is vital that we are here for the next 40 years, providing the very best care to our community when they need it most.”

The Hospice is unable to accept donations for their shops, so if you wish to donate items, please keep hold of them to help to fill the shops with stock when they can finally re-open.
