Pamela marks 20 years with undertakers

Local funeral directors, Robertshaw Greenwood are celebrating the long service and dedication of funeral service arranger, Mrs Pamela Irving.

Pamela joined the Hebden Bridge company in 1995 and went on to become a fully qualified funeral director and bereavement counsellor.

Pamela said: “I started work with our sister company, Lawrence Funeral Service in 1995, and they were kind enough to help towards my tuition fees meaning I could then obtain the RSA Certificate and Advanced Diploma in Bereavement Counselling.”

Pamela has had the privilege to look after many of the bereaved families in Hebden Bridge and surrounding areas.

She said: “The feeling of helping others through life but also sadly when a life has ended, always brings a warm feeling and a great sense of wellbeing. I could not have wished for a more fulfilling and worthwhile career.”
