Hundreds of people have already started work on their own lantern creations and further open workshops will be held on Saturday, November 21, and Sunday, November 22, from 2pm-4pm at Todmorden Community College on Burnley Road.
The final workshop will be he held from 3.30pm-5.30pm on Wednesday, November 25 , at the same venue.
Handmade Parade will provide all the materials and their artists will give as much or as little instruction as you need. Adults, teenagers and families all welcome but children under 13 need to be accompanied by an adult. Entrance is by donation on the door.
And if you’d like to join a women’s dance ensemble which will be creating an ethereal, glowing ballon dance for the parade, you can join workshops with local dance artist Gil Burns on Friday, November 20, and Friday, November 27, from 6pm-7.30pm at the Handmade Parade Workshop Unit, Victoria Road, Hebden Bridge.
