Kids competition to design police Christmas card

West Yorkshire Police are on the hunt for budding young artists to design the front of their Christmas card.

Entries must be hand-drawn and themed on “The Police at Christmas.”

Children taking part must be 12 and under and living in West Yorkshire.

The winner - chosen by West Yorkshire Police’s Chief Constable Dee Collins - will win a tour of the force’s Carr Gate complex. Depending on operational requirements, they will get to see the National Police Air Service helicopter, the horses in the Mounted Section and public order training areas. 

Entries can be submitted online on Twitter or by post.

All entries will be published on a Facebook album and on the Force website and other social media accounts. 

The closing date for entries is midnight on Monday November 21 and the winner will be announced on Wednesday November 30.
