Investigation into fire at Robinhood Activity Centre in Todmorden
Six fire pumps were needed to tackle the blaze at the Robinwood Activity Centre at Dobroyd Castle, on Saturday morning, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
A spokesperson for Todmorden Fire Station, whose crews attended the blaze, said the fire was believed to have started in a caving “dungeon” area before spreading via the roof to surrounding buildings.

“It seems to have started in an activity building housing a caving section, in the dungeon area, and spread across the roof into a caving section adjacent to it.
“This area is away from the accommodation so no one was involved or injured.
“Fire investigators are trying to investigate the cause.”
Crews from Mytholmroyd, Todmorden, Halifax and several Northwest fire brigade stations were called out to the incident at 6.18am.

“There was limited access to water site, so crews used pumps to take water from an activity lake,” the spokesperson added.
The area affected was one of three themed ‘problem solving areas’; Quest, the Dungeon of Doom and Piranha Pool.
