The organisers of a Yorkshire music festival have been awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Service.
Mary Agnes Krell lives in Hebden Bridge and is one of the organisers behind the Grand Northern Ukulele Festival in Huddersfield who were given the award for their work in the community.
She started the festival with her partner Robert Collins five years ago, along with two others Audra Jeppson and Kris Ball.
Mary said: “It is such an honour to receive the Queens Award for Voluntary Service that it scarcely seems real.”
Over the five years the festival has supported 353 artist and 4,100 people have attended the festival.
