Following the devastating floods around the Calder Valley, Northern Rail has issued a number of free travel passes to local residents.

It’s hoped this will enable them to travel along the valley to visit supermarkets, shops and post offices.

On Friday,60 travel passes were distributed at the Mytholmroyd, Hebden Bridge and Todmorden Flood hubs.

The passes can be used to share amongst the community for ANY Northern Rail journey between Rochdale and Halifax (and return) after 9:30am Monday to Friday and at any time on a weekend.

They are bearer passes so can be used by anyone and are transferable. The passes are valid until January 31, 2016.
