Firefighters help take down marquee after 70mph winds

Firefighters had to help take down a marquee which posed a risk to the public during high winds.

Crews from Illingworth Fire Station were called to a property on Bradshaw Avenue at around 11.30pm on Tuesday.

A fire service spokesman said an officer was sent to the house to assess the situation, and with wind speeds reaching up to 70mph, he asked firefighters to attend.

No-one was injured in the incident.
