Making his debut as Todmorden Agricultural Society president, Kieron Hardman welcomes Saturday’s visitors to the society’s big day.

Kieron says: “As President for 2015 and on behalf of Todmorden Agricultural Society Committee, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the 85th Todmorden Agricultural Show.

“Firstly, I would like to thank past Presidents for their commitment and generosity to the show. Every year our dedicated team of volunteers work tirelessly to ensure the entertainment, livestock shows and trade stands focus on showcasing what our area has to offer.

“The event would never happen if dedicated supporters didn’t volunteer their time, sponsor classes and donate financially. Each year our business and agricultural community ensure the show remains healthy, which allows us to offer agricultural student grants.

“Following on from last year’s show we hope the sun shines again and the whole family can enjoy their day out on our beautiful show site in Centre Vale Park.

“Our show focuses on the core traditions of agricultural life but we also want you to enjoy our varied exhibits, displays and entertainment, which this year includes Elaine Hill’s working sheepdogs demonstration, Phill Gibbons and his amazing Little Nippers terrier racing team. And the 3SIXTY bicycle stunt team who will astound you with their stunt riding skills.”
