CALDER High V1 form student, Thomas Dolan, has been selected to represent England, in the Under-21 friendly Dressage International at the end of the month, with his horse Storm.
Thomas was nominated by the North West regional representatives and put to the British Dressage selectors. Thomas then received a letter inviting him to represent England at the under 21's friendly International.
The International will take place from the 30th of June and the 1st of July in Wicklow, Southern Ireland. Whilst competing: Thomas will be required to ride four dressage tests over the two days. He will then be placed on an individual result and his results will contribute towards an overall team result.
Thomas and Storm have also been asked to represent the north-west at an inter-regional in Bedfordshire later in July.
Stephen Ball, headteacher, said that he is thrilled that Thomas has been selected to represent England in this prestigious event and Thomas's hard work in training has paid off. The school wish him luck in Southern Ireland next week. British Dressage contributes no funding towards these trips which can prove very costly so Thomas is currently looking for sponsorship. If you are able to support Thomas he would be very keen to hear from you on 07999254988.
