A Calder Valley school has succeeded in its bid for Government funding to improve school facilities.
Cragg Vale Junior and Infant School were one of 277 schools that was awarded funding as part of the Priority School Building Programme 2 this week.
The fund is aimed at rebuilding schools in the UK that are in the worst condition.
Councillor Janet Battye (Lib Dem) said: “It is pleasing to see that Cragg Vale J and I school is receiving funding.
“I know that’s a school that’s valued by local families so it’s good to see investment going into it.”
