PUPILS at Midgley School have been promoting recycling and composting during National Waste Week.

Children in the school’s eco club encouraged youngsters who have packed lunches to bring their food in re-usable containers. Pupils on school dinners who left clean plates were given stickers for helping to reduce food waste.

Headteacher Jo Mansfield said: “It’s been good for them because it’s made them think about how to reduce waste.”
