Police have released an e-fit of a male they would like to speak to following a robbery in Bradford.

At about 8pm on Tuesday, December 16, an 18-year-old man was walking with his mountain bike along Mount Avenue in Eccleshill, when he was approached by some Asian males.

The males made demands for the victim’s phone and money, before spraying an aerosol can in his face and punching him.

They then ran off with the victim’s bike towards Norman Lane.

The victim suffered soreness and reddening to his eyes as a result of the attack, but is not thought to have suffered any permanent damage to his eyesight.

The main suspect is described as being between 17 and 21 years of age and about 6ft tall.

He was of athletic build with short black hair and a thin moustache and was wearing a grey tracksuit with blue stripes down the legs and arms.

Detective Inspector Paula Bickerdike, of Bradford District CID, said: “This was a serious offence involving the use of a weapon, which could have resulted in life-changing injuries for the victim.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who saw a group of males acting suspiciously in the area, close to Delph Park, in the time leading up to, or shortly after the attack as they may have information which could prove vital to this investigation.”

Anyone who recognises the man should contact police on on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111
