Marion, 82, is originally from Todmorden and Frank, 84, is from Hebden Bridge.

The pair locked eyes on a local walk- the ‘monkey run’ and their romance soon blossomed.

Marion said: “Frank used to come to Todmorden and I used to go to Hebden Bridge.

“We used to go dancing at the Co-op dance hall and it just went from there.”

The couple ‘courted’ for five years before tying the knot and Marion said that it was a lovely day.

Following their wedding, the couple celebrated their union with a five-day honeymoon trip to the picturesque seaside resort of Southport, Merseyside.

Married life saw Frank and Marion settle in Hebden Bridge- the place the couple have called home for the duration of their life together.

Frank spent 51 years working for William Hall greengrocers until his retirement in 1995 and Marion worked at the Co-op.
