Thieves use van to escape with motorbike in Luddenden

Police have issued a witness appeal after thieves bundled a motorbike into the back of a van before making their escape.

The incident, in which a distinctive white coloured BMW F800 GS was stolen, happened on Goit Side, Luddenden, at around 3am on Tuesday, November 18.

Detective Constable Richard Drabble, of Calderdale CID, said: “The incident took place around 3am in the early hours of Tuesday 18 November when the suspect/s were disturbed and what was described as a small white van was seen driving away from the scene with the rear doors still open and the motorbike inside.

“The bike is a distinctive white coloured BMW F800 GS and I am appealing for anyone who may have been offered this bike for sale or who may have seen the van driving in the area with the rear doors open or anyone with information that may assist the investigation to contact police.”
