Thieves take methadone in Elland pharmacy raid

Police are appealing for witnesses after a large amount of methadone tablets was stolen from a pharmacy in Elland.

The raid, which also saw ADHD medication taken from a cabinet, happened at a pharmacy on Huddersfield Road at 11pm on Saturday (January 17) and 10am on Sunday.

Inspector John Simpson, of Calderdale District Police, said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area between the times that the burglary occurred.

“We would also ask the public to be vigilant and report any drugs they may find discarded or that are being offered for sale on the streets.”
