Police hunting sex offender with links to Halifax after breaching licence conditions

Lancashire Police say that a wanted sex offender could be in the Halifax area.

Alexander Macura, 66, went missing from an address in Fleetwood on August 21 and failed to return. He is wanted by police on recall to prison after breaching his licence conditions.

He was jailed in August 2019 for exposure offences.

He is described as around 5ft 9ins tall, of heavy build, with blue eyes, grey, shoulder-length hair described as being greasy and a short, grey beard. He was last seen wearing a burgundy sweatshirt, baggy blue jeans and a black padded jacket.

He has links to Lancaster, specifically to the city centre, Cattle Market and Wyresdale Road areas, and to Halifax.

Sgt Laraine Lister, of Fleetwood Police, said: “Macura is wanted on recall to prison after breaching his licence conditions. If you have seen him, or know where he may be, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
