Police have found the body of a 43-year-old man in Hebden Bridge.
The body of Daniel Halkyard was discovered by police at 12.44pm on Sunday down a track in the village of Slack.
The death of Mr Halkyard, who was reported missing on January 2, is not being treated as suspicious. But in line with procedure West Yorkshire Police has refereed itself to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The deceased is believed to be man who was sleeping rough and who was reported as missing on 2 January and because of this and as is standard, a referral will be made to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.”
