Man left with serious injury after attack by gang outside Halifax takeaway

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered a serious jaw injury after being assaulted by a gang of men outside a Halifax takeaway.

Calderdale CID want to speak to anyone who has information about the violent attack which took place outside the ‘Get Stuffed’ takeaway on Crown Street at around 4.40am on Sunday, June 15.

A 24-year-old man was set upon by three or four males and ended up with the serious injury.

The suspects are believed to be white and no older than 22-years-old. One is also believed to have thick brown hair.

DC Graham Bennett, of Calderdale CID, said: “We are appealing for information about this incident and I would particularly like to speak to a witness who was stood nearby when it happened and is believed to have spoken to the victim.

“Anyone who has information or can help identify the people involved should contact myself ay Calderdale CID on 101.”
