Driver flees after hitting 12-year-old boy in Bradford

A 12-year-old boy had to be taken to hospital after he was hit by a car in Bradford.

Police are appealing for information about the incident that happened at about 8pm on Sunday March 29, when the boy was crossing Manningham Lane at its junction with Queens Road, Bradford.

He was struck by a silver Peugeot car, which is believed to have been either a 206 or 307, and did not stop and continued along Manningham Lane towards the city centre.

The boy was taken to hospital with head and leg injuries, which were not believed to be serious.

The driver of the car was believed to have been driven by a man wearing a distinctive ‘Converse’ hooded top with thick white draw strings.
