To celebrate a year since the formation of Todmorden Untied Benefice there will be a week of celebration around the theme of Creation from October 25 to November 3.

The centrepece is to be a display of stunning banners depicting the story of creation, loaned from the Deo Gloria Trust ( These will be displayed in St Mary’s Church, Todmorden, and entrance is free, though donations to the Trust will be welcome.

The grand opening of the exhibition will be held on Saturday, October 25, at 6.30pm with wine, cheese and music, tickets are £3.50, available on the door.

There are events for all ages and tastes, starting on Saturday with a Pet Service at St Peter’s, Walsden (3pm). On the Wednesday there will be a Children’s Day, 10am to 3pm, for four to 11 year olds - contact Rev Nancy White to book (07964 340849). At the end of the week on Saturday, November 1, there is a Creation Party at St Mary’s from 5pm to 6.30pm, with food and fun.

A daily Holy Communion service held in the Benefice. These will vary in style and include 1662 Book of Common Prayer Communions, a Sharing Eucharist, a Taize Holy Communion and Celtic Communion.
