Royd Regeneration are welcoming stalls from craftspeople from all over the Calder Valley to a Christmas Market next week.

Eric Alston, of Royd Regeneration, said: “The Christmas Market organised by Royd Regeneration will be held on Saturday, November 15 this year and it is bigger and better than ever with 30 stalls selling everything from cheeseand wine and locally produced meats to craft displays, cakes and there will be a cafe too, so you can relax, sit down and take a breather amid shopping.”

The event runs from noon to 6pm both inside St Michael’s Church Hall and also outside in St Michael’s Square in the village centre.

Eric said Royd Regeneration were being supported by Calderdale Council and also by the village’s Sainsbury’s Local branch, who were providing some mulled wine and mince pies.

“There will be free mulled wine for early visitors while it lasts, and there will ve free face-painting for youngsters, as well as a visit from Santa.

“This is the third event but there won’t be live music this time, although there will be some Christmas music playing.

“We have traders coming from all over the Calder Valley, from Todmorden to Luddenden Foot,” he said.
