We’re inviting you to put forward a brave, generous, courageous or thoughtful child aged 16 or under who has gone the extra mile and deserves recognition for the amazing things they have done.

Run by the Halifax Courier Group, the awards aim to give something back to those who have helped friends, family or neighbours; courageous children who have battled adversity or illness;

and those miniature heroes who have quickly sprung to action in times of crisis.

Nominated children will be invited to a glittering awards ceremony at the Victoria Theatre, Halifax, on December 20, 2014, where they will be presented with an award by Calderdale’s very own Neil Hurst, before being treated to a matinee performance of the Christmas pantomime - Jack and the Beanstalk.

A spokesperson from Victoria Theatre said: “It looks to be a fun, festive and inspiring event for all involved.”

If you know a young person who is a Champion Child, please write to tell us what makes them special.
